Soph and Dave's Rupert on Rupert Wedding
‘Our vendor choices were perfection and easily the key to why our wedding was so special. Best decision hands down’
1. What was the best decision you made?
This is an easy one - all of our vendor choices were perfection and easily the key to why our wedding was so special. Best decision hands down.
We knew that choosing our vendors carefully and making sure we felt comfortable and confident in them would mean our day would go to another level.
It was also helpful that a lot of our vendors had experience working together and with our venue Rupert so it was a truly well-oiled machine.
2. Did anything not go to plan/ what would you do differently?
It's a very small thing but I might actually push the wedding back slightly...we had a 3:30pm guest arrival for a 4pm ceremony.
Given we did a first look and had some time together before the wedding we probably could've stuck with a 4:30/5pm ceremony despite the light...I think your wedding is always just such a big day that kicking off that little bit later gives you some more downtime in the morning or perhaps some slower movements in the afternoon. It's small but maybe the only thing I'd do slightly differently.
3. What was your fave part of the day?
This is a tricky question because honestly every part of the day was fabulous but the vibes were particularly amazing during our speeches, first dance and transition into the d-floor.
Our guests were in such a brilliant mood embracing the evening (despite it being a Thursday!) and those few hours were just pure joy, kicking us off into a PHENOMENAL evening of partying.
4. In a few words- what advice would you give couples planning their wedding now?
Make sure you pick vendors that fit your vibe/style.
Our day was monumentally easier in the hands of our vendors who in our opinion were the best of the best.
There was absolutely zero stress in our minds as every part of the day was taken care of by our vendors who we trusted implicitly.
Even better was that they brought the vibes with them and set the tone for our day which was so fun, relaxed and warm.
Also - spend as much time as you can with your partner on the day, we deliberately did a first look and spent a few good hours together pre-wedding which meant that we got some extended one-on-one time on what is a very big day.
Whatever day you have your wedding, the right people will be there. Thursday weddings are a total vibe. You’ll fid another rocking Thursday wedding officiated by Nat Sproal here.
