Chloe and Hamish's Super Cool Urban Wedding

The vibes were stratospheric

A brass band to lead you and your guests on the walk to the reception? YEP!

What was the best decision you made?

Throwing out the rule book and finding vendors who helped us write our own. We're not very traditional so while it was exciting to have no guidelines for the day, it was also a little overwhelming. As we got to know our wonderful vendors and their fantastic ideas, we knew the day would be even better than we had imagined.

2. Did anything not go to plan/ what would you do differently?
We were so lucky to have the most stress-free day and loved every minute - we wouldn't change a thing!

Be true to yourselves and never feel like you have to include something in your day unless it feels right for you.

3. What was your fave part of the day?
We kept one big surprise for our guests up our sleeves – the wonderful Horns of Leroy. They busted out from behind the altar once we were pronounced married and marched everyone to the reception venue. Horns’ amazing music lit up the whole of Abbotsford and Collingwood with our guests dancing their way down the street and locals popping their heads out to see what the commotion was about.

It was well worth the venue hunting because not only did we find two perfect venues but procession between the two, led by Horns of Leroy was the highlight of the day for everyone (including the locals!)

4. In a few words- what advice would you give couples planning their wedding now?

Be true to yourselves and never feel like you have to include something in your day unless it feels right for you. Weddings are all about you, and are a great excuse for a big party with all your favourite people in the one room. So fill your day with everything that brings you joy and most importantly, love.
