The Big Entry

arriving at your wedding .

Stuck on your wedding entry song? I have the answer in this blog.

First and foremost, what kind of vibe do you want for your ceremony?

Traditionally (and you know how I feel about tradition), brides have walked the aisle to big, romantic, emotional tracks like the Titanic song.

These days, there isn’t always a bride. Sometimes there’s two. Sometimes there’s none. Instead, let’s call them the arriving party. Whoever is waiting is the waiting party.

Emotional love songs can trigger more of a somber mood.

If you want a really fun, lighthearted and vibey ceremony feel that carries into the after party- I’m gonna advise against the Titanic track (and all its sad mates).

Play something high energy, happy, fun and you’ll immediately set the tone for your celebrant to carry on with.

There is literally nothing better than a big, fun entry where the guests are all up clapping and maybe even singing along.

When considering your arrival and entry, your first thought should be- what vibe do you want to create?

I had a wedding at Panama Dining Room earlier this year where the couple chose Love is in the Air for the entry. EVERY SINGLE person there was singing it, dancing and clapping as Rosie came up the aisle and IT. WAS. EPIC.

The couple in the blog photo arrived together to The Song Formerly Known As by Regurgitator. I don’t think I’ll ever get over that one either.

The fact is, emotional love songs can trigger more of a somber mood.

Here’s the thing- walking down the aisle with that kind of song and no one clapping or welcoming you in is wayyyyy more nerve wracking than coming in with a big smile because you’re playing a banger that makes you happy.

If you’re an emotional person who is concerned about crying throughout the ceremony- maybe a really heartrending tune to walk in to isn’t the best choice for you.

If you want to lift that vibe even more, send your wedding party down before you as a pack. A group brings energy. They’ll dance up the aisle together and be so much happier than walking the aisle one by one.

When considering your arrival and entry, your first thought should be- what vibe do you want to create?

Music is incredibly powerful at conjuring feels. Start as you intend to continue.
